Glossary

API

API stands for Application Programming Interface. Together with backend databases, APIs provide a set of fixed rules and specifications that define interactions between software components.

Integrations

An app that is launched and accessed outside of AgencyCloud via a third party website or is an integration that does not require you to login to a separate website (Server to Server)

AgencyCloud Apps

An app that loads inside of AgencyCloud and is authenticated automatically using your AgencyCloud credentials.

Desktop Integration

The area in which the app is accessed. An app with an associated Desktop Integration type may replace certain screens or change behaviours instead of AgencyCloud. For more information on Desktop Integration Types please 'click here'.

Permissions

A Company or Developer will need to access varying areas of your data held within AgencyCloud. They will access the required areas of data by requesting permissions either Read and/or Write.

Read

Provide the an app with access to read (view) your data.

Write

Allows an app to create or edit your data

Categories

Categories (will be) used to segment the apps into their relevant departments.

Private Apps

A 'Private App' is only visible to certain customers, as specified by the Company/Developer. If this option is selected the app will not be visible to all clients on the AppMarket, only those whose Customer ID has been entered.

User Roles

Each member of your organisation will be assigned to a role and can have multiple roles:

Organisation Admin

‘Organisation Admins’ will have the ability to install or uninstall apps for the whole of the organisation. They will also be responsible for user roles and office grouping/management.

Marketplace Admin

A ‘Marketplace Admin’ can install or uninstall apps for their given office, or multiple offices across an organisation as assigned by an Organisational Admin.

Reapit User Admin

A ‘Reapit User Admin’ can install or uninstall apps for their given office, or multiple offices across an organisation as assigned by an Organisational Admin. A 'Reapit User Admin' is a 'Level 2' inside of AgencyCloud

Users

A ‘User’ will have access to browse the AppMarket and use certain apps but will not be able to install or unstill apps. A 'User' is a 'Level 1' inside of AgencyCloud

A user can check their user role by going to 'Apps' and 'Settings' from the AppMarket:

Alternatively, you can contact the service desk to confirm who has the correct permissions within their organisation and they will be able to assist if a user role should be changed.
